After handily defeating previous TI winners OG in a best-of-3 show match, Open AI allowed Dota 2 players to attempt to do what OG couldn't. It was a slaughter to say the least. Open AI won 7,215 games and lost just 42 times to human players, equating to a 99.4% overall winrate.
A player named
ainodehna seems to have figured out a somewhat reliable strategy to defeat the bots. 5-man teams lead by
ainodehna defeated the bots an amazing 11 times, including a 10 game winning streak. Other teams also managed to get very close to a victory, with one team finally getting a win on their very last attempt before Open AI was taken offline.
I personally found the Open AI vs OG match very interesting. The AI plays a style of Dota 2 that you don't see in regular competitive matches. Hopefully they continue to develop their bot and expand it to include more heroes.
