BATTLETECH Heavy Metal DLC details and release date announced

Heavy Metal is the third planned DLC pack for Harebrained Schemes' turn-based strategy game BATTLETECH. The release date and details for have finally been announced at this years ParadoxCon it should be available on Steam starting on November 21st.

Building on the previous DLC, Urban Warfare, eight new Mechs are included in Heavy Metal. Seven of them are classics that are finally making their way to the game, while the eighth is an entirely new creation. Several new weapon systems are also said to be included which offer new ways to approach combat by introducing AOE damage.

There should also be a large patch to the base game accompanying the DLC. It's expected to bring two new Mechs and multiple game improvements for everybody to enjoy.

BATTLETECH had some technical and performance issues at launch which lead to some middling reviews. But Harebrained Schemes have been dedicated to improving the game and it's quite playable now.
