Danger Zone, Counter-Strike's answer to the battle royale craze, has just got a new map in its pool. Previously only the original Blacksite was available. The new map, called Sirocco, has a lot of the same features as the old one. It's still an island where the terrain slopes upward toward the center of the map, creating a central point where most of the late-game action will take place.
It looks like Valve is pushing the squad aspect of Danger Zone since squad mechanics have also been altered with this update. As long as at least one person on your team is alive, you'll have the option to respawn somewhere on the map. Additionally your teammates will be wearing a blue jumpsuit instead of orange/yellow and duo-squad is the default matchmaking option when looking for a new game.
Weapons will now start with more ammo now as well. Previously weapon ammo was so scarce that rationing your bullets was a real skill. My thought is that the ammo was likely increased because of players respawning, you will need more ammo to take down players multiple times.
Two new fun items were also added and more coming soon: ExoJump Boots and Bump Mines. ExoJump Boots allow player to do an extra high jump and remind me a little bit Chell's boots from Portal. Bump Mines will send players flying into the air which could be deadly unless they have a parachute.
