Created by indie developers, Fancy Fish Games,
Aground began as webgame and later came to Steam for almost 2 years in early access. Now, it's finally officially released, and with a big update.
Most of the gameplay in
Aground involves a mix of mining or exploring for resources, then using those resources to built up your settlement. Some light combat keeps things interesting as well. It's not all chores though as Fancy Fish Games have included a cast of well-written characters which gives some additional motivation for the player to progress.
There's a fair amount of progression to be made in
Aground too. After waking on the island, the player starts with literally nothing but some wood and fruit. More and more technology gets unlocked over time with space travel being a main goal to reach.
Along with the official release, there's now a full multi-player game mode available, allowing 2-4 players to work together and escape the island.
Aground is available now
on Steam.
