It's been a really good week for Linux gaming. Check out a few of these deals and start your weekend off right.
1. Surviving Mars
Surviving Mars is celebrating the release of it's new Green Planet DLC with a free weekend. You'll be able to play the base game for free until this Sunday. It's also steeply discounted if you want to purchase it afterwards.
2. The Witcher 1: Enhanced Edition
GOG is having a promotion where you can get the original Witcher for free if you sign up for their newsletter and download Gwent. Unfortunately it's a bit of a hassle because the Gwent installation only works on Windows. If you have access to a Windows machine and can put up with these requirements, you'll be rewarded with the Witcher in your GOG library.
3. Mad Max
Steam's 'Post-apocalyptic Weekend' has a lot of games discounted that take place in this setting. Mad Max is a personal recommendation. It was Feral Interactive's first Vulkan port so it's a little rough around the edges but they did a great job overall. Driving around the wastelands and upgrading Max's car was a lot more fun than expected. At it's current price, it's a no-brainer to pick this up.
4. Undead Horde
Lastly, Undead Horde was released just this week on Steam. You'll take on the role of a necromancer in this mashup of action, RPG, and strategy genres. Initial reviews seem fairly positive and the art style looks really fun. I'm looking forward to digging into it myself this weekend.
