Sandbox Interactive's MMO, Albion Online, went F2P two months ago and has since seen quite an increase in player numbers. I enjoyed my time with Albion quite a bit so it's great to see the game continue to do well. Unfortunately, with all this new attention came some issues. They were getting DDoS'd quite heavily over the past couple of weeks and the game was unplayable for some time.
Thankfully though, that's now in the past and to celebrate the end of the attack, all players are getting +25% to almost all Fame (Albion's XP system) earned in-game during the next week. The Fame bonus does
not affect Challenges though which is too bad since
this month's rewards look pretty cool.
If you happened to already have a premium character during the DDoS attacks, you'll also get the hilarious item:
Rubberband Boots which allow you to "[r]elive the glory days of lagging and rubberbanding with this unique costume item".
